Sustainable healthcare innovation
At Flen Health, sustainability is not only a value, but a responsibility embedded in our actions. Guided by our code of conduct, we aim to deliver healthcare innovations that foster positive change for society and the environment by aligning our operations with global sustainability goals.

As we continue our carbon reduction journey, we’re leveraging both internal resources and trusted external partnerships to meet our ambitious environmental targets. With careful planning and continuous improvement, we are dedicated to fostering a more sustainable future for the planet and our patients.
Climate action commitment
We are deeply committed to minimizing our environmental footprint, with a particular focus on expanding the use of clean energy.
Our headquarters and laboratory in Luxembourg operate in a modern, energy-efficient building that utilizes renewable energy sources such as rainwater, sunlight, and air to regulate temperature and provide hot sanitary water. In Kontich, the installation of solar panels further strengthens our commitment to green energy solutions.
Sustainable practices and supply chain responsibility
In our laboratories, we prioritize smart waste management, efficient use of equipment, and the responsible handling of samples and chemicals. These initiatives are key to reducing our impact while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
We recognise that sustainability extends beyond our operations to our supply chain. We aim to work with suppliers who align with our values and meet high standards for environmental and social responsibility. While we continue to develop ways to measure and support this commitment, it reflects our broad goal of ensuring that sustainability principles are embedded throughout our business practices.
Quality education
Education powers our journey to sustainable health and environmental stewardship
Education is a fundamental pillar in our sustainability journey. We believe that by empowering healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients with the knowledge to use our products effectively, we contribute to a more sustainable healthcare system. Our educational efforts include promoting sustainable practices, such as reducing waste and optimizing resource use, enabling individuals to make informed choices for both their health and the environment.
We also support education through internships, providing young people with hands-on experience, and by investing in continuous learning for our staff. This commitment fosters innovation in sustainable product development and operational practices, ensuring that both current and future generations are prepared to address unmet medical needs and environmental challenges.
By embedding sustainability into our educational initiatives, we are better positioned to deliver health solutions that benefit both people and the planet. At the same time, we empower our teams to drive continuous improvement across all aspects of our operations.
Carbon Accounting Reports and Carbon Reduction Plans
Reducing our environmental impact remains a key priority for Flen Health. As part of our ongoing sustainability journey, we continue to measure, review and improve our environmental performance across our organisation.
Our UK Carbon Accounting Report and Carbon Reduction Plan, based on our 2023 reporting year, remains available to download and outlines our commitment to achieving Net Zero in the UK by 2045.
Since publishing our 2023 UK report, we have completed our first global carbon assessment covering the 2024 reporting year and have developed an initial Carbon Reduction Plan for the wider Flen Health organisation. This report establishes our baseline emissions, identifies key carbon reduction opportunities and sets out our proposed pathway towards achieving Net Zero by 2045.
The 2024 Carbon Reduction Plan is published as an initial report and is currently undergoing internal review and stakeholder approval. It will be updated as required following completion of this review process.
By embedding sustainability into the way we operate, we aim to deliver innovations that improve patient outcomes while reducing our environmental impact for future generations.
